Why is the temperature of ghd hair styling tools fixed?
“185 is an incredibly important number to us at ghd. This is because all our dry styling hair tools work at 185ºC, which our scientists and researchers found is the optimum temperature to style hair.
“When it comes to dry styling, you never need to go hotter than 185ºC to get perfect results, whatever your hair type. Hotter is not better. Our scientists found that any hotter than 185ºC will break your hair bonds causing your hair irreversible damage, and anything cooler than 185ºC, your style won’t last. Therefore, we put trust in 185ºC for superior professional results and no extreme heat damage.”
